Notes | This tender was built for one of the railway companies that later formed the South African Railways but it is not possible to identify which one. The Zambesi Sawmills Railway (currently known as the Mulobezi Railway) in Zambia purchased several 4-8-0 locos from South African Railways. 7A class no. 993 was sold with tender 1045 but it is not known if this is the actual tender this loco is preserved with now as swaps between locomotives may have taken place. Tender 1045 was originally from a 7B class loco. It was imported to the UK from Zambia in 1975. |
