Notes Arrived at Woodham Bros, Barry with 34027 SR Rebuilt West Country class 4-6-2. Sold to Duport, Briton Ferry circa 1969 as an ingot carrier (the tank was removed for this role) and numbered 48. Sold in 1978 to Battle of Britain Locomotive Group who owned 34059 SR Rebuilt Battle of Britain class 4-6-2. Circa 1979-circa 1991 restoration started but the frames were found to be too twisted to actually repair. Circa 1992/1993 chassis of 3254 dismantled with frame stretchers and some other components retained for incorporation into a new build tender. The new tender is SR 3273 Bulleid 5250 gallon (q.v.)
