Notes | One of two locomotives built for use at Wylam Colliery named Wylam Dilly and Puffing Billy, the latter is preserved in London. The tender chassis's seem similar in outline for both locos but a metal tank is used to carry the water on Puffing Billy and a wooden barrel is used on Wylam Dilly. It is thought the tender is unchanged since preservation in 1882. Coal and water capacities are estimated and based on dimensions taken at the National Museum in Edinburgh in December 2017. |
