Notes | Tank has been replaced since preservation. Number carried is not the original number of this tender but the number of the tender 5322 was coupled to when sent to France in World War One. The original tender number 1994 was sold for scrap to Barlborough Metals in March 1964. This tender arrived at Woodham Bros, Barry attached to GWR Manor class 4-6-0 no.7802. The last known tender attached to this loco was 2128 but no evidence of the true identity has been found on the tender. As BR records were not updated in the 14 months before this loco was withdrawn it is unlikely its true identity will ever be discovered. |
