Notes | Coupled to the original locomotive. The original tender when first built is thought to have had a wheelbase of 4'3", larger diameter wheels and a barrel for water storage. The loco served as a stationary boiler for a pump from 1846 until restoration in 1856. It is therefore possible that the current tender is a replica from this time though its design may reflect the final appearance of Locomotion's tender when it was in service. |
