Notes Converted for departmental use in 1952 as a mobile load bank for testing diesel shunters and later Southern Region DEMUs and numbered ADS3202. For this role it had the middle wheels and tank removed and a body built on it containing the test equipment. Withdrawn from departmental service in 1984. Now being rebuilt to run with new build LBSCR H2 class Atlantic no 32424. It will be fitted with a tank carrying 3500 gallons of water and 4 tons of coal. The number carried is the number given to the tender by the Southern Railway. The tender was reported as complete apart from BR crest and varnishing in Steam Railway magazine no 536 Sept/Oct 2022. The loco is expected to steam in 2024
