Notes Tender 3119 was a 1st series Bulleid Merchant Navy (MN) Tender. During restoration the original 5,000 gallon tank was sold to Southern Locomotives Ltd (SLL) and mounted on a new build chassis in 1994 creating a hybrid Bulleid tender (SLL No.000) until December 2015 when the tank was removed and sold for scrap. The replacement tank for chassis 3119 was the original tank from Bulleid 5100 gallon tender no. 3130. The tank was modified at an unknown date by shortening the coal bunker by 2'4", the coal capacity being reduced by approximately 0.75 tons though water capacity remained unchanged. The tender ran in this condition until 2000 when the loco it was attached to (34039 SR Rebuilt West Country 4-6-2) was withdrawn from service. At an unknown date after this (but by November 2014) the 5100 gallon tank from tender 3130 was removed from the chassis of 3119. It was initially retained (still known to exist in March 2019) but it was intended to be dispose of it in due course. The replacement tank is a new 5250 gallon tank as fitted to several Bulleid (Maunsell Eastleigh Pattern) 3 axle frames in BR days. This tank was delivered to the Great Central by November 2019 and fitted in December 2021. Work on the chassis during this overhaul has included replacement of the front dragbox and frame in front of the leading wheels.
