Notes | Taken into departmental service as a snowplough in February 1960. Originally intended for use with proposed new build LNER B17 class 4-6-0 number 61617. Tank not replaced since preservation. Number is from information in Steam Railway magazine no 398 p67 and based on this its departmental number would latterly have been 330975. This is one of three tenders owned by The B17 Steam Locomotive Trust. At present is is intended to use LNER Group Standard 4200 gallon tender number 4166 with new build loco 61617 so tender 7163 is spare. |
